Breakfast With The Stars
Breakfast with the Stars is an event that is unique to the Dubai World Cup and makes the whole experience more entertaining and special. The title sums it up perfectly ...an event held at breakfast time that allows you to catch a glimpse of the stars just a couple of days before the big race day. The morning allows you to watch the horses doing their final track work, whilst enjoying a lavish breakfast buffet in the company of some of the owners, trainers and jockeys that will be there on Dubai World Cup night!
The event takes place on the Thursday morning before the main race day on Saturday. Now there is no lie in on this morning as the wake up call is the crack of dawn, but don’t let that put you off, as you arrive at Meydan you can take in the sunrise over the city landscape, which in Dubai is truly amazing. There’s something about that time of the morning which is so tranquil, especially in a bustling city like Dubai.
Once your ticket has been scanned, you enter the racecourse to be greeted by smiley and friendly staff, all of whom have some sort of goody to give away! You then make your way through passing statues of previous horse heroes and the the trophies everyone is competing for on Saturday.
The event is hosted out the front of the racecourse in the Apron Views, this gives you access right up the rails of the track, to watch the horses up close as they thunder past! There are lots of activities to get involved in such as the Godolphin Equisizer challenge which gives you an insight into what it takes to ride like a jockey in a race!
The mood is set with some excellent live music, men on stilts, jugglers and illusionists along with plenty of wonderful staff members to help guide you to a table and the different food stations. There is no particular seating plan so you can sit where you like and if you get there early enough, you can have a front row seat next to the action.
Once the horses start coming on to the track, the live music pauses and the mornings hosts take to the stage. Rishi Persad from ITV Racing announces the horses as they appear in front of the crowd and everyone heads to the rails to watch. The horses work throughout the morning whilst Rishi interviews the likes of William Buick, Saeed Bin Suroor, Bob Baffert and Charlie Appleby.
With regards to the Breakfast itself, there really are no shortage of options for you to enjoy - every breakfast food you could imagine is available along with coffees and fresh juices.
If adding this trip to your package you will collected from your hotel around 6am to be on-site at Meydan by 6:30am. The morning runs until around 9:30am meaning you will be back at your hotel to enjoy the rest of the day by approximately 10am.
If you are coming to the Dubai World Cup, Breakfast with the Stars really is a must and many say it is a highlight of their week! So why not join us in 2019?
