Dubai is well known for its racing and for how popular the Dubai World Cup has become to people all around the world. Meydan Racecourse, which is Dubai’s state of the art racecourse, offers a full season of high quality racing, which kick starts from November 9th 2017 - March 31st 2018. With the one of the main events of the season being the Dubai World Cup Carnival held from the 11th January – 1st March. The Carnival is held every Thursday night building up to the main event of the Dubai world Cup which is held on Saturday 31st March 2018.

The Dubai world Cup and Carnival are all held at the Meydan racecourse which was spectacularly finished in 2010. The World Cup day is the biggest race day in the world with Prize money of US$30 million is offered on the big day that features nine races and is highlighted by the $10 million Dubai World Cup. With previous winners such as African Story ridden by Silvestre de Sousa.

Each year it's held on the last Saturday in March, the Dubai World Cup attracts the biggest names in racing to Dubai and the Meydan Racecourse, with a state of the art track and grandstand its not hard to see why.

With this years World Cup on the taking place on the 31st, trainers will want to be able to put in some final touches on the horses before they go for the US$10 million in prize money. Saturday the 10th march will be the final time the horses see the racecourse before the horses go for the big prize in horse racing. Not only are some of the best horses in the world going to be racing, but some of the worlds best jockeys will be making appearances.

Two of those jockeys who will be making their way over to Dubai for the carnival are Racing Breaks two ambassadors, Frankie Dettori, who has won the race 3 times with his last win in 2006 on Electrocutionist and Jim Crowley, who is retained by Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum and has gone out there for the remainder of the Dubai carnival to try and secure another Dubai World Cup win for the Sheikh.
