Windsor Monday Night Racing

The Monday night racing at Windsor has become quite the Monday night out, and if you ask me the best way to kick off the week!

With these gorgeous summer evenings we have been so blessed with, everyone has that summer feeling and really wants to make the most of it. So what better way to do that than with a night at the races! Windsor is just over an hour outside of London on the train and a very short taxi ride from the station to the races. The first race isn’t until 6 either, so it gives you plenty of time to get there after work too. The perfect work team night out, a date night, catch up with friends, or just because it’s sunny whatever the occasion maybe this is the place to go.

Getting to the track as we said is easy by train, being on the skirt of London. What is most unique about Windsor though is that it is on the river Thames,  you can actually catch a boat to the races. You pick it up in Windsor town and it takes you pretty much to the entrance of the track. A return ticket is just £7 and is great value and not to mention great fun! Not only is the course on the river but you can actually see Windsor Castle from the track, so there are stunning views all round!

So what else is on offer apart from great racing? Well let’s start with the food, the most important part, Windsor has a very unique food village compared to other races. The food village is set out like a street food market and you really feel like you are at a food festival! With everything from fish and chips to thai on offer! Alternatively you can bring your own picnic, or book into one of the fantastic restaurants, and speaking from experience the food is amazing! I feel hungry just thinking about it, and all washed down with a perfect glass of Pimms, or whatever your tipple may be.

Aside from the racing there is lots of entertainment on offer throughout the summer, this Monday saw the famous Ronnie Scotts take to the stage and next Monday is a gin festival, we have listed below the rest of the Monday nights and what they have.
