The Doncaster St Leger Festival

The Doncaster St Leger Festival is four days of spectacular racing, each day has something different to offer.

The opening day is the St Leger Legends day, a day of great races and a very special race for the retired jockeys. Legends have included AP McCoy and Michael Hills, all of the jockeys raise money for Northern Racing College and there is a charity lunch for the Injured Jockeys Fund too. The day is about raising money and giving back to the sport, the legends race is always very entertaining too!

Day 2 is ladies day, and is a legend of all the ladies day. Rain, sun or snow the lovely ladies of Doncaster will don their summer dresses and they really go all out for the day. Rightly so with the fantastic prizes on offer too! After racing will see 80’s heartthrob Martin Kemp bring us a touch of ‘gold’ as he djs after racing.

Gentleman's day is the third day of the meeting, and attracts huge crowds and with such great racing on it’s no wonder why. The Doncaster Cup is a highlight of the day and is the oldest race currently in racing. The day is a great boys day out too, with best dressed gent, laser clay pigeon shooting and a sports car display!

Saturday is St Leger day, the last classic of the season! The runners are yet to be confirmed but so far it is looking a hot race with LAR TI DAH, KEW GARDENS and OLD PERSIAN looking like running. The four days build up to the excitement the Saturday will bring, this is the world's oldest classic race.
