The next big UK race day on our list is none other than the QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot, 21st October 2017. A final wrap to what has been an incredible summer of racing. The temperature has definitely dropped, the ground is beginning to soften and the Jumps trainers are chomping at the bit to showcase their talents. But hold your horses, because this feature race day is not to be overlooked.
Champions day is a mark to the end of the season and the finals of each divisions of the British Champions Series. This ties together featured races from Ascot and Newmarket such as the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, Champion Stakes and the Jockey Club Cup. This day has taken place at Ascot every year in October since 2011. The day has a fantastic line-up of races to enjoy with four Group 1s and two Group 2s.
Not only is there racing to look forward to but this is a real family fun day for all to enjoy. A fan zone is set up where budding young racing enthusiasts can have a go at riding an Equisizer and practise their skills as a jockey. Other activities to look forward to are Clip Clop pony rides for the younger generation, inflatable fun and an exclusive book signing with Clare Balding. Following the last race there is then a music evening with chart topper, George Ezra.
Racing Breaks have tickets and overnight packages on offer for those who want to enjoy the evening without any worries. Berkshire is a lovely area and for those who want to make a weekend of it, we can certainly help. Please click here for more information and how to book with us.
Looking forward to it!
