Quickened Clear’s Best Bets:
East Street Revue – 2.20 York – 1pt win @ 14/1
It could well be a good day for connections as they have a definite chance in the Dante with Wells Farhh Go but East Street Revue goes well fresh and could be the one to side with in the opener to get the day off to a flyer for the owners. Tim Easterby’s five year old has a good record at York, enjoys a sound surface and has a good berth in stall four, eight out of the last ten winners of this race have been drawn five or lower. With El Astronaute likely to give him a good tow into the race, East Street Revue looks to be worth a punt @ 14/1.
Mythical Madness – 4.05 York – 1pt win @ 14/1
There are question marks about the principals at the head of the market. Original Choice would prefer cut, Cape Byron, though very well bred, shapes as though further is needed, the same applying to Third Time Lucky and Isomer. This distance is just short of a mile and could be perfect for Mythical Madness who was just ran out of it last time at Chelmsford. Clearly well handicapped and a lover of fast ground, things could just drop right for David O’Meara’s seven year old and he is a value bet @ 14/1.
